Job Type: Travel / Contract
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated ICU Nurse Lead (RN) to join a high-performing critical care team in San Luis Obispo. This is an excellent opportunity for a travel nurse with strong clinical expertise and proven leadership experience to step into a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership and oversight within the ICU during day shifts
Supervise and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care
Coordinate patient care activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Serve as a resource for complex clinical situations
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Assist with staff development, mentoring, and performance management
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
Minimum 5 years of ICU or related technical experience (strongly preferred)
Prior supervisory or leadership experience (required)
Current certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
