Tripod Partners is seeking an experienced Travel ER RN for an opportunity at a Critical Access Hospital in Delta Rapids, South Dakota. This position offers the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population across the Emergency Department and Med/Surg setting, including adults and geriatrics, with occasional pediatric patients presenting to the ER.

The RN will work rotating day, evening, and night shifts and should be comfortable caring for patients with a wide range of medical and emergency conditions, including CHF, COPD, pneumonia, sepsis, chest pain/ACS, diabetes, dehydration, infections, falls and fractures, GI/GU conditions, post-operative patients, and general medical complaints. Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are approximately 1:4–1:6 depending on census and acuity.

Candidates should have a minimum of 1–2 years of acute-care or Med/Surg experience, with ER experience preferred. Experience with IV pumps, telemetry, PCA, blood products, and common cardiac or vasoactive drips is preferred. The facility utilizes Epic, telemetry, bedside monitoring, automated medication dispensing, and IV pump technology, with Epic experience preferred. Ventilator experience is limited to basic monitoring, with higher-acuity patients typically stabilized and transferred.

The RN may be required to float between Med/Surg and the ER, with possible call requirements to be confirmed. Weekly orientation is available. Required certification includes BLS, while ACLS is required and PALS/TNCC may be required or preferred for the ER. RTO must be submitted at the time of submission.
