We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team in Yankton, SD. In this role, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical settings, working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team. Key Responsibilities

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders

Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen, aerosol medications, and ventilator support

Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation

Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling and analysis

Respond to emergency situations, including code blue and rapid response calls

Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record

Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control procedures

Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program

Current CRT or RRT credential from the NBRC

Active or eligible South Dakota Respiratory Care Practitioner license

BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred (or willingness to obtain)

Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work independently during night shift hours
