We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Float to join our team in Rochester, NY. This role offers the opportunity to practice across multiple medical-surgical units while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level II Registered Nurse, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for the provision of competent nursing care based on established standards.

The Level II RN assumes an expanded professional role, which may include responsibilities such as charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member.

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients

Float across assigned Med Surg and Telemetry units as needed

Utilize evidence-based practice to guide clinical decision-making

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes

Serve as a resource and role model for less experienced staff

Participate in unit-based and organizational quality initiatives

Requirements

Active New York State RN License (NY license only)

Minimum of two (2) years of recent RN experience

Telemetry experience required

BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
