Position Overview:
NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a reputable Urology practice in Sterling, Illinois. This is a unique opportunity to work in both a hospital and clinic setting, providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of urologic conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in urology, be comfortable managing a diverse patient population, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Management: Diagnose and manage a wide range of urologic conditions, including benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH), kidney stones, urinary tract infections (UTIs), incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and cancers of the urinary tract.
Clinical Assessments: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking, physical exams, lab work, and diagnostic testing such as cystoscopy, urinalysis, and imaging.
Treatment Plans: Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and recommend surgical interventions or other therapies in collaboration with the urologist.
Patient Education: Educate patients on the management of their conditions, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and post-operative care.
Clinical Documentation: Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with urologists, nursing staff, medical assistants, and other team members to provide coordinated care and optimize patient outcomes.
Hospital & Clinic Duties: Provide care both in a hospital inpatient setting (including pre-op and post-op management) and in the clinic, offering continuity of care across settings.
Position Requirements:
Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP).
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in urology or managing urology patients in a hospital or outpatient clinic.
Experience with diagnostic urologic procedures such as cystoscopy and bladder scans.
Strong ability to work collaboratively with healthcare providers across hospital and clinic settings.
Reliability and professionalism in both inpatient and outpatient environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive Hourly Rate: $90–$100 per hour (DOE)
