Description

Position Overview
NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our urgent care team in Newark, NJ. This full-time, permanent position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in urgent care or similar clinical settings and be capable of handling a high volume of patients.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive, urgent care in an outpatient setting.
• Conduct assessments, diagnostic tests, and treatments for a variety of urgent care conditions.
• Manage a caseload of approximately 20 patients per shift.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions and clinical information accurately using the Epic EMR system.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted New Jersey (NJ) license
• Certification:
o Board Certification in the relevant specialty (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
o BLS Certification (required)
o DOT, PALS/ACLS certifications preferred but not mandatory
• Experience:
o 2+ years of clinical experience in an urgent care or similar outpatient setting
o Strong diagnostic and treatment skills in an urgent care environment
o Ability to manage a high patient volume (approx. 20 patients per shift)
• Other Requirements:
o Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
o Fellowship required in the specialty area

Compensation & Benefits
• Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience
