Position Overview
NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking a friendly and patient-focused Dental Hygienist for a full-time opportunity in Vernon Hills, Illinois (Greater Chicago area). This role is with a welcoming private dental practice that prioritizes patient comfort, meaningful relationships, and quality care over volume.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hygienist who enjoys building long-term patient connections and appreciates having the time needed to deliver thorough, personalized care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine dental hygiene procedures including cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and preventive care
Take and evaluate digital dental X-rays
Conduct oral health assessments and accurately chart clinical findings
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants as appropriate
Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
Assist the dentist during exams and support overall clinical workflow
Qualifications
Required
Active Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Illinois
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication skills and excellent chairside manner
Ability to build rapport with patients of all ages
Preferred
Experience working in a private or family dental practice
Familiarity with digital X-ray systems and modern dental technology
Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix)
Strong teamwork and organizational skills
