Description
NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time opportunity in Columbus, Ohio within a behavioral health setting. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about mental health care, crisis intervention, and patient advocacy, and who thrives in a collaborative, patient-centered clinical environment.
This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing comprehensive nursing care, coordinating treatment plans, and supporting individuals with cognitive, emotional, and behavioral health conditions.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care & Patient Support
Perform admission and ongoing nursing assessments and monitor patient conditions
Administer medications and complete medication reconciliation safely
Develop individualized treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
Provide patient and family education and emotional support
Conduct crisis intervention when needed
Maintain accurate EMR documentation and follow CPOE protocols
Care Coordination & Leadership
Lead shift teams through effective delegation and communication
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff
Supervise and coordinate patient care activities
Participate in performance improvement and quality initiatives
Safety & Compliance
Maintain a safe therapeutic environment
Follow seclusion and restraint protocols per regulations
Report incidents, errors, or hazards promptly
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards
Professional Standards

Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program
Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio
CPR certification
Hospital-approved de-escalation certification
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or advanced certification
Minimum 1 year behavioral health experience
Strong communication and crisis management skills
Experience with EMR documentation systems
Compensation
Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 annually
