Role Overview – Nurse Practitioner (Breast Health & Genetics)
NorTek Medical Staffing is Seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner. This position is for a Nurse Practitioner in an outpatient Breast Health & Imaging Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The NP is responsible for providing consultative, prevention-focused care to patients—primarily women at elevated risk for breast cancer—while ensuring their clinical, genetic, and educational needs are addressed.
What the NP Does (Core Duties)
Provides direct patient care using the clinical process (assess → evaluate risk → plan → implement → follow up).
Conducts detailed family history reviews, including pedigree documentation.
Performs genomic-focused health and risk assessments.
Develops individualized prevention and care plans.
Orders genetic testing and appropriate radiologic imaging.
Initiates referrals and appropriate healthcare interventions.
Counsels patients and families regarding hereditary breast cancer risk.
Documents patient assessments, plans, and outcomes accurately.
Maintains clinical standards and supports a safe, patient-centered environment.
Who They’re Looking For
Must hold an active New Mexico Nurse Practitioner license.
PECOS certification required.
Experience in genetic testing and counseling.
AGN-BC certification in Genetics strongly preferred.
Strong clinical reasoning and ability to educate high-risk patients.
Comfort working in a prevention-focused, consultative setting.

Schedule & Pay
Salary: $110K – $130K annually.
Monday – Friday daytime hours.
No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call.
