Description

Job Title: RN Med/Surg
Location: NEW YORK, NY 10025
Hours Per Week: 36.00 (3*12)
Shift Time: Day shift, 7PM-7:30AM, EOW IS REQUIRED
Schedule Notes: BSN REQUIRED** **MED SURG/TELE REQUIRED, For local candidates (under 50 miles), stipend = $40/hr.
Duration: 13 weeks

Pay: $60.29/hr

Facility Details
• 34-bed Medical-Surgical unit with an average census of approximately 30 patients
• Staffing guideline of 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio

Job Summary: The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a range of acute medical conditions. This role emphasizes clinical assessment, patient monitoring, and coordinated care delivery within an inpatient Med Surg/Telemetry setting.

Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring of medical-surgical patients.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards.
• Monitor patient responses and identify changes in condition requiring escalation.
• Document nursing care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans.

Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience – Required
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience – Required
• Minimum 2 years of overall RN experience – Required
• EPIC EMR experience highly preferred

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required

License: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
