Description

Job Title : Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)
Location : New York, NY 10019
Schedule & Shift Details : 12*3 (36 Hours in a week)
Shift: Day Shift
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (Every Other Weekend)
Pay Rate: 61
Local Candidates (within 50 miles): $40/hour stipend

Job Summary:
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to adult patients with a variety of acute medical conditions. This role emphasizes comprehensive clinical assessment, continuous patient monitoring, and coordinated care delivery within an inpatient medical-surgical unit.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders and nursing standards
Identify changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed
Document nursing care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support individualized care plans

Required Qualifications:

Medical-Surgical Experience: Minimum of 2 years (Required)
Overall RN Experience: Minimum of 2 years (Required)
EMR Experience: EPIC experience highly preferred

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): Required

Certifications/ Licensure:

Basic Life Support (BLS): American Heart Association (AHA) – Required
Registered Nurse (RN): Active New York State RN License – Required
