Description

Job Title: RN ICU
Location: BROOKLYN, NY 11203
Contract duration: 14 weeks
Hours Per Week: 36.00 (3*12)
Shift Time: DAY SHIFT, 8:00 AM-8:30 PM

Job Summary: The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse provides advanced nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and complex clinical support. This role emphasizes rapid assessment, intervention, and collaboration within a high-acuity ICU environment.

Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive assessments and continuous monitoring of critically ill patients.
• Administer medications, infusions, and treatments according to critical care protocols.
• Manage patients requiring conscious sedation and advanced IV therapies.
• Identify and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Document nursing care accurately and communicate clinical updates to the care team.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes.

Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of critical care (ICU) experience – Required
• Conscious sedation experience – Required (2 years)
• IV insertion and phlebotomy experience – Required (2 years)

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Required

Certifications
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required

License
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• Primary Source Verification through NYSED – Required
