Hours Per Week: 36.00 (3*12)
Shift Time: NIGHT SHIFT 8:00 PM-8:30 AM, Every other weekend
Schedule Notes: 3 shifts per week, 1 hour lunch per shift and every other weekend 1 contract- no extension

Job Summary:
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse provides direct inpatient nursing care to adult patients before and after medical and surgical treatment. This role focuses on assessment, medication administration, and coordinated care delivery within an acute-care Med Surg environment.

Responsibilities
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide bedside nursing care to pre- and post-operative patients.
• Administer medications, initiate IV therapy, and perform wound care.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses, escalating concerns as needed.
• Support discharge planning and provide patient and family education.
• Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.

Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience – Required
• Experience in a large acute-care hospital or post-acute facility accepted
• Most recent Med Surg experience must be within the past year
• Proficiency in physical assessment, IV therapy, post-operative care, and telemetry monitoring
• EPIC EMR experience – Preferred
• Single contract assignment with no extension

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Certifications
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required (Queens only)

License
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – Required
• Primary Source Verification – Required
