Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Obstetrics (OB) | Atlantic, IA | $2,866/week

Schedule: 36 hours per week | Shifts to be determined (typically 12-hour shifts)
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,866.00 ($1,620.00 Taxable + $1,246.00 Non-Taxable Stipends)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Obstetrics (OB) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Atlantic, IA. This role requires a comprehensive clinical background in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery. The ideal candidate will be a versatile clinician capable of providing high-quality care within the OB unit and willing to support the hospital's broader needs by floating to other units during periods of low census.

Non-Negotiable Required Qualifications:

Please note: Candidates who do not meet 100% of the following criteria will not be considered for this role.
Licensure: Must hold and maintain an active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the State of Iowa or a valid Compact/Multi-State license.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in an Obstetrics setting (L&D, Postpartum, and Recovery).
Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications are strictly required. AWHONN certification is highly preferred.
Adaptability: Must be willing to float to the Med-Surg floor as required when there are no obstetric patients.
Traveler Status: Candidate must be a non-local traveler (typically residing more than 50 miles from the facility).
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Spectrum OB Care: Provide expert nursing care across the obstetrical continuum, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery.
Patient Assessment: Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, manage laboring patients, and provide immediate post-delivery care for both mother and infant.
Floating/Cross-Training: Demonstrate clinical flexibility by floating to the Med-Surg unit to assist with patient care during low OB census.
Collaborative Care: Work closely with the obstetric and pediatric medical teams to ensure safe delivery and recovery outcomes.
Documentation: Maintain precise, real-time medical records in compliance with facility and state regulatory standards.

Important Assignment Notes:
Floating Requirement: This position carries a mandatory expectation to float to the Med-Surg floor when the OB unit is not at capacity.
