Specialty: Radiation Oncology RN (listed as Radiation Therapist)
Location: Janesville, WI (Mercyhealth)
Schedule: 36 hours per week | Typically 8 or 10-hour Day shifts.
Contract: 13 Weeks.

🩺 Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care: Provide age-specific nursing care across the life span using the nursing process (Assessment, Planning, Intervention, Evaluation).
Leadership & Delegation: Assume leadership responsibilities, including the delegation of work to other staff members while maintaining high clinical standards.
Specialty Standards: Adhere to Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care for Radiation Oncology, ensuring patient safety during complex radiotherapy treatments.
Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with State and Federal laws and hospital policies.
De-escalation: Utilize specialized training to manage patient stress and maintain a calm, therapeutic environment.
🩺 Requirements:
Licensure: Active Wisconsin RN License or Multi-State Compact License.
Experience: 1–2 years of recent Oncology or Acute Care experience is preferred.
Certifications: * Must have current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC) active prior to start.
De-escalation Training (e.g., CPI or similar) is required.
Pro-tip: If your certs aren't active yet, you must have a course booked by your Clinical Orientation date.
Soft Skills: Strong critical thinking and the ability to educate patients and families on side-effect management.
