🏙️ Travel Med-Surg Ortho RN | Lawton, OK | Start 2/23/26 🏙️
Are you a Med-Surg professional with an interest in Orthopedics and Neurology? This 13-week assignment in Lawton, Oklahoma, offers a stable day-shift schedule in a specialized 24-bed unit. This position is likely based at Comanche County Memorial Hospital, known for its comprehensive orthopedic and neurosurgical programs.

📋 Position Details:
Specialty: Med-Surg Ortho / Neuro
Location: Lawton, OK
Schedule: 36 hours per week | 12-hour Day Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM).
Contract: 13 Weeks.
Start Date: February 23, 2026.
🩺 Key Clinical Responsibilities:
Post-Surgical Monitoring: Provide specialized care for patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries (total hip/knee arthroplasty, spinal fusions) and neurological interventions.
Assessment: Conduct frequent neuro-checks and physical assessments to monitor for complications like DVT, infection, or changes in neurological status.
Pain Management: Administer and titrate pain medications while educating patients on mobility and recovery expectations.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with physical and occupational therapists to assist with early mobilization and discharge planning.
🩺 Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of recent Med-Surg experience; Ortho or Neuro experience is highly preferred.
Licensure: Active Oklahoma RN License or Multi-State Compact License.
Certifications: Current AHA BLS is mandatory; ACLS is often preferred for Neuro monitoring.
Skills: Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, wound care, and managing specialized orthopedic equipment (CPMs, braces, etc.).
