Location: Port Lavaca, Texas

Schedule: 36 hours per week (Nights)
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,758.00 ($1,512 Taxable + $1,246 Non-Taxable Stipends)
Position Overview
Memorial Medical Center, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) in Port Lavaca, TX, is seeking an experienced and adaptable Labor & Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel assignment. Our facility is a Level I designated center for Maternal and Neonatal Care, serving a high-growth area with a large transient population. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a rural healthcare setting and is prepared to support a small, high-impact team.
Non-Negotiable Required Qualifications
Please note: Candidates who do not meet 100% of the following criteria will not be considered for this role.
Experience: Mandatory, verifiable experience in Rural Healthcare environments.
Clinical Versatility: Proficiency in all L&D, Post-Partum (PP), and Nursery roles is required, as the department is typically staffed by a two-person team.
Clinical Mastery: Must possess strong Assessment Skills and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) expertise.
Systems Experience: Mandatory proficiency with the OBIX EMR system.
Housing Readiness: Candidates must be aware that local housing is challenging; those with RVs are strongly preferred and typically find the best accommodations.
Key Responsibilities
Comprehensive Care: Provide expert nursing care across the full spectrum of maternal and neonatal services, including Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Nursery.
Departmental Collaboration: Work within a lean, two-person department to manage an average of 15–20 deliveries per month.
Patient Advocacy: Utilize advanced assessment skills to prioritize care for a diverse and transient patient population.
Clinical Accuracy: Ensure precise documentation and monitoring using the OBIX EMR system to maintain high standards of maternal and neonatal safety.
