Location: Columbia, Missouri
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 hours per week (Nights)
Weekly Gross Pay: $2,542.00 ($1,296 Taxable + $1,246 Non-Taxable Stipends)
Position Overview:
Boone Health is seeking a versatile and highly skilled Float Pool Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Columbia, MO. Working within a fast-paced 32-bed unit, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients. This role requires exceptional adaptability, as the clinician will float across multiple Med-Surg specialties, including Cardio, Medicine, Ortho, Surgical, Neuro, and Oncology.
Non-Negotiable Required Qualifications:
Please note: Candidates who do not meet 100% of the following criteria will not be considered for this role.
Compliance: Must provide current CEU documentation during the compliance process as a mandatory requirement.
Clinical Mastery (Line Management): Mandatory proficiency in IV Insertion, PICC/Central Line Management, and Vascular Device Access/Care.
Cardiac Proficiency: Mandatory experience with Remote Tele and Tele Interpretation.
Airway & Specialized Care: Required skills in CPAP/BiPAP, Trach Care, Feeding Tubes, and Wound Vac management.
Ortho/Oncology Skills: Proficiency in Traction, CPM, and Epidural/PCA pump management.
Adaptability: Must be willing to work within a 1:6 to 1:8 nurse-patient ratio based on unit needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Versatile Clinical Care: Float across all Med-Surg specialties (Cardio, Medicine, Ortho, Surgical, Neuro, Oncology) to provide high-quality nursing care.
Equipment Management: Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment including IV pumps, Tele, SCDs, PCA pumps, Lifts, and CO2 monitoring systems.
Clinical Interventions: Perform advanced nursing tasks such as vascular access care, trach care, and wound vac management with high accuracy.
Patient Advocacy: Monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and EKG rhythms, recognizing and responding immediately to clinical changes in adult and geriatric patients.
Collaboration: Participate in clinical decision-making and work seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
