Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Clinical Nurse | Sitka, Alaska | $3,500/week

Location: Sitka, Alaska (Southeast Alaska Region)

Start Date: ASAP (Pending fingerprint processing)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 36-40 hours per week | Varied Shifts

Weekly Gross Pay: $3,500.00 ($900.00 Taxable + $2,600.00 Non-Taxable Stipends)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly professional and independent Clinical Registered Nurse for a 13-week assignment in the stunning Southeast Alaska region. This role involves coordinating and performing a variety of nursing procedures for patients of all ages, from pediatric to geriatric. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter capable of making sound clinical judgments in both routine and emergent situations while maintaining complete accountability for patient care.

Non-Negotiable Required Qualifications:

Please note: Candidates who do not meet 100% of the following criteria will not be considered for this role.
Licensure: Must hold a current, full, and unrestricted Alaska RN License at the time of submission. Candidates without an active AK license will not be considered.
Certifications: Current BLS and PALS certifications are required upon hire. ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
Experience: Minimum of 3 year of clinical nurse experience is required.
Health Requirements: Must have or be willing to obtain a current Flu Vaccination.
Security Clearance: Must complete the fingerprinting process through Juneau; start dates are typically set no less than 4 weeks after fingerprint cards are received.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Patient Care: Implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients with multisystem diseases, utilizing appropriate infection control measures and scientific principles.
Comprehensive Assessment: Perform thorough nursing assessments, including interviewing and observation, considering cognitive, physical, and emotional needs across the lifespan.
Clinical Leadership: Make independent clinical decisions during shifts and provide proper delegation and supervision to CNA/Tech staff.
Care Coordination: Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Patient Advocacy & Education: Provide emotional and psychological support while teaching patients and families skills essential for coping with illness and promoting wellness.
Important Assignment Notes:
Compliance: This role requires strict adherence to the SEARHC Seven Standards of Excellence and all corporate/hospital policies.
Flexibility: Clinicians must be willing to float to other units as needed based on facility volume and staffing requirements.
Logistics: The specific start date is contingent upon the processing of fingerprinting in Juneau.
Urgency: Immediate opening with high potential for extension.
