Patient Population: Care for adults and geriatrics, with the ability to manage a wide range of diagnoses including post-operative recovery, chronic disease management, and acute infections.
Collaborative Care: Lead and work cooperatively with ancillary nursing staff (LPNs, CNAs) to maintain high professional standards.
Orientation: Facilities in Lawton are known for providing thorough orientations with seasoned preceptors for travelers, ensuring you are comfortable with the unit flow and Epic or Meditech charting systems.
š Mandatory Requirements
Experience: Minimum 6 months of Med-Surg experience is required (though many agencies prefer 12-18 months for travelers).
Licensure: Active Oklahoma (OK) or Compact RN License.
Oklahoma is an active eNLC state. If your primary residence is in another compact state, you can practice immediately.
Certifications: Current AHA BLS.
Soft Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle patient populations ranging from adolescents to geriatrics.
