Description

đźš‘ Travel Paramedic | Laramie, WY | Ivinson Memorial Hospital đźš‘
Ivinson Memorial is a 99-bed hospital that serves as the primary trauma and emergency hub for Albany County. The ambulance service here is hospital-based, meaning you aren't just a field provider—you are an integrated member of the Ivinson clinical team.

✨ Financial Breakdown (Weekly)
Taxable Pay: $1,260.00

Non-Taxable Stipends: $1,246.00

Total Gross Weekly: $2,506.00

✨ Assignment Overview
đź“… Duration: 13 Weeks | Start Date: 04/13/2026

🌓 Shift: Varies (Must be available for all shifts) | 36 Hours Guaranteed

📍 Location: Laramie, WY

🏥 Setting: Hospital-Based Ambulance Service (Ground EMS)

📝 Documentation: WATRS (Wyoming Ambulance Trip Reporting System)

🩺 Role Highlights
Dual-Service Model: You will primarily provide 911 response and inter-facility transports. However, when not on a call, you are expected to assist in the Emergency Department or other hospital units under the direction of an RN or Provider.

Pharmacology & Scope: Administer emergency medications and perform advanced life support (ALS) interventions according to the Wyoming State Scope of Practice.

Documentation Excellence: You will use the WATRS system to document all patient encounters. Wyoming requires detailed reporting for the state’s trauma registry.

Logistics: Responsible for ensuring the ambulance and station are "deployment ready" at all times (cleaning, restocking, and maintenance checks).

đź“‹ Mandatory Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of high-volume Paramedic experience is required.

Licensure: Current Wyoming Paramedic License (or National Registry with the ability to obtain Wyoming reciprocity before the start date).

Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Vehicle Ops: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record (EVOC/CEVO preferred).

🤠 Life in Laramie: The High Plains
At 7,220 feet, Laramie offers thin air, blue skies, and a lower cost of living than many mountain towns.

Cost of Living: Laramie’s housing and grocery costs are roughly 7% to 15% lower than the national average.

Housing Strategy: Since Laramie is a college town (University of Wyoming), look for furnished rentals or "professor's guest houses" near the hospital or campus. Your $1,246 weekly stipend can easily cover a premium rental ($1,800/month) while allowing you to save over $3,000/month in tax-free money.

Outdoor Adventure: You are 15 minutes from the Vedauwoo Recreation Area (world-class rock climbing and hiking) and 45 minutes from the Snowy Range for late-season skiing and snowmobiling.

Pro-tip: The wind in Laramie is legendary. If you're coming in April, pack high-quality windbreakers and prepare for "winter-like" conditions even as late as May!
CloudinfraIT Inc Job ID #294510. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
