Genesis Hospital is a nationally recognized heart center, and its CVOR team handles complex cases including CABG and valve replacements. This role is designed for a "plug-and-play" traveler who can step into a high-acuity cardiac room on Day 1 while maintaining the flexibility to support General Surgery as needed.

✨ Assignment Overview
📅 Duration: 13 Weeks | Start Date: 03/30/2026

☀️ Shift: Days (Choice of 4x10s or 5x8s) | 40 Hours Guaranteed

🗓️ Call: 2–3 days per week (Weekend call is a full Friday PM – Monday AM block).

📍 Location: Zanesville, OH (Genesis Main Hospital)

🏥 Unit: CVOR (Primary) with General Surgery float.

🩺 Role Highlights
Cardiac Focus: Requires expert knowledge of instrumentation for Open-Heart procedures. You must have at least 2 years of recent heart experience.

Flexibility: When CVOR volume is low, you are expected to float and lead in General Surgery cases.

Call Intensity: The call requirement is significant (2-3 days/week). Ensure you are within the 30-minute response radius for your housing.

Technical Skills: High proficiency in Central Processing workflows and sterile field maintenance is a "must-have" for this team.

📋 Mandatory Requirements
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.

Experience: 2 years of current Open-Heart experience [Required].

Certification: CST is preferred but not mandatory. Active AHA BLS is required.

Skills: Expert-level knowledge of surgical instrumentation and critical thinking in high-pressure intra-operative phases.
