Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Herrin, Illinois. This role is focused on the Med-Surg Adult and Orthopedic unit, where you will provide essential care to patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and those with acute medical conditions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
Assignment Details
Shift: Nights
Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Compensation (Weekly Gross: $2,218)
Taxable Pay: $1,246
Non-Taxable Stipend: $972
Note: Stipends are intended to cover lodging and meals for eligible travelers.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on the Med-Surg and Orthopedic units.
Monitor patient vitals, manage pain, and oversee post-operative recovery.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and the broader healthcare team to ensure effective patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records and provide education to patients and their families regarding discharge and recovery.
Requirements
License: Current and active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certification: Current CPR/BLS Card.
Experience: Previous experience in Med-Surg or Orthopedic nursing is highly preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to new facility protocols and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
