Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg (Rural Setting)
Job Type: Contract
Location: Portales, New Mexico
Start Date: 05/11/2026
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a rural acute care hospital setting. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult, pediatric, and progressive care patients in a close-knit, community-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality patient care across Med-Surg, PCU, and occasional pediatric cases
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
Monitor patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare teams
Provide patient and family education
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Take on occasional charge nurse responsibilities
Utilize tele-intensivist support when needed
Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
Unit Details:
Patient Ratio: Typically 5:1
Tele-intensivist support available
Pediatric admissions possible
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
Experience in Med-Surg, PCU, or similar settings
Ability to work independently in a rural environment
Required Certifications:
BLS (AHA)
PALS (AHA)

CloudinfraIT Inc Job ID #295801. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
