Respiratory Therapist – Travel/TDY Assignment (Alaska)
Location: Bethel, AK 99559
Start Date: 05/19/2026
Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift: 32 hours/week (varied schedule)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive cardiopulmonary care to patients of all ages. This role involves delivering high-quality respiratory services while ensuring patient safety, dignity, and effective clinical outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide full-scope respiratory therapy services to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
Perform airway management, CPR, and assist with intubations
Operate and manage ventilators for all patient populations
Conduct ABG procurement and analysis
Administer respiratory medications and therapies, including nebulizers and oxygen delivery systems
Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning techniques
Conduct pulmonary function testing and assist with stress testing
Accurately document patient care and therapies
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
Educate patients on respiratory treatments and procedures
Qualifications
Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate’s degree required)
NBRC credentials required (CRT or RRT)
BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS encouraged
Minimum 1–2 years of clinical respiratory therapy experience
Ability to interpret physician orders and clinical data accurately
Strong communication and patient education skills
Required Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in ventilator management (adult, pediatric, neonatal)
Experience with ABG analysis and respiratory diagnostics
Knowledge of respiratory medications, indications, and contraindications
Familiarity with equipment such as pulse oximeters, nebulizers, oxygen systems, and EKG machines
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Additional Requirements
Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination required
Ability to work independently and in a team setting
Flexibility to adapt to a variety of patient care scenarios

CloudinfraIT Inc Job ID #295871. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
