Schedule: 36 hours/week after orientation (no guaranteed hours)

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. This unit includes step-down ICU and telemetry patients, requiring strong clinical judgment and cardiac monitoring skills.

Unit Details
15-bed unit:
3 Step-Down ICU beds (1:3 ratio)
12 Telemetry beds (1:4 ratio)
Patient population includes progressive care and step-down ICU cases
Floating required to other acute care units (Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, ER as needed)
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process
Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and interpretation
Provide primary nursing care, including blood glucose monitoring
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
Equipment & Systems
EMR: EPIC
Additional equipment: BIPAP, continuous cardiac monitoring systems, Pyxis medication system
Requirements
Active RN license (Hawaii license required by start date; must apply upon offer if not currently held)
Minimum 2 years of experience (recent acute care required)
Experience in Progressive Care and telemetry strongly preferred
Certifications:
BLS (required)
ACLS, PALS, NIHSS (preferred)
