**Position Overview**
Join a dedicated care team in Hilo, HI, on a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit (including 3 Step-Down ICU and 12 Telemetry beds). This role is for a proactive RN who can manage patient care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on telemetry monitoring and acute care.

**Unit Details & Ratios**

* **Total Beds:** 15 (3 Step-Down ICU, 12 Telemetry)
* **Ratios:** 1:4 for Progressive Care; 1:3 for Step-Down ICU

**Assignment Details**

* **Shift:** Scheduled 36 hours per week (No guarantee of hours)
* **Floating:** Required to all acute units (Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER)
* **Dress Code:** Scrubs

**Compensation (Weekly Gross: $2,304)**

* **Taxable Pay:** $504
* **Non-Taxable Stipend:** $1,800

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide primary nursing care and telemetry monitoring/strip reading.
* Perform fingerstick blood sugar tests and medication administration via Pyxis.
* Utilize Meditech for electronic charting and manage BIPAP/continuous cardiac monitoring equipment.

**Requirements**

* **Experience:** Minimum 1 year of hospital acute care within the last year. Progressive Care and telemetry experience preferred.
* **License:** Active Hawaii RN License (Must be in possession by start date).
* **Certifications:** ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS preferred.
* **Notes:** This position is for a specific traveler.
