🕒 Shift: Days | 3 x 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

⏱ Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Job Overview

Mile Bluff Medical Center is seeking an experienced Med Surg / EICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable caring for both Med Surg and eICU patient populations and adapting to changing patient needs and unit priorities.

Minimum Requirements

Active Wisconsin RN License

Minimum 5 years of recent Med Surg experience

Experience caring for EICU or higher-acuity patients preferred

Current BLS Certification

Current ACLS Certification

Experience with Meditech EMR preferred

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Ability to work every 4th weekend and participate in holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

Provide nursing care to both Med Surg and EICU patients

Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and communicate effectively with providers

Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately

Review, verify, and carry out physician orders through the EMR system

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge needs

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Respond appropriately to emergency and life-threatening situations

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards

Safely manage multiple patients while maintaining a high standard of care

Additional Information

Day Shift: 3 x 12-hour shifts per week

Every 4th weekend required

Every other holiday rotation

Must be comfortable caring for both Med Surg and EICU patient populations
