Labor & Delivery RN | Post-Partum & Baby Unit – Night Shift
📍 Newport, Vermont
⏳ 13-Week Contract | 36 Guaranteed Hours

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a night shift assignment in beautiful Vermont. This role includes Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Baby Unit responsibilities within a Critical Access Hospital setting. Candidates must be comfortable floating to other units and assisting with Progressive Care Unit overflow as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum periods.
Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
Care for newborns in the nursery and postpartum setting.
Administer medications, treatments, and patient education according to physician orders and evidence-based practices.
Support families through childbirth, recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
Recognize and respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, pediatric providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR.
Float to other patient care areas and assist with PCU overflow when required.
Participate in quarterly department education sessions.
Requirements

✅ Active RN License (VT license required upon acceptance)
✅ Minimum 5+ Years of Experience
✅ BLS Certification
✅ PALS Certification
✅ NRP Certification
✅ Labor & Delivery, Post-Partum, and Nursery experience required
