Travel Behavioral Psych RN (Geriatric Psychiatry) – Nights | Nashua, NH

🕒 Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
📋 Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join Geropsychiatric Unit on a night-shift travel assignment. This role focuses on providing comprehensive psychiatric and medical nursing care to geriatric patients in a therapeutic environment while collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive mental and physical assessments.
Monitor, document, and report changes in patient conditions.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
Facilitate therapeutic groups, patient education, and one-on-one interventions.
Collaborate with physicians, social services, and multidisciplinary team members.
Complete admission assessments, progress notes, evaluations, and discharge planning.
Assist patients with activities of daily living and behavioral health needs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
✅ Active New Hampshire RN License
✅ Minimum 3 years of RN experience
✅ BLS Certification required
✅ Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required
✅ Bachelor’s Degree preferred
✅ Psychiatric, Behavioral Health, or Geriatric Psych 3 year experience required
✅ Knowledge of medical terminology required

Contract Details:
Holiday coverage required
Overtime paid after 40 hours worked per week

Important Notes:
Up to 16 hours of orientation are unpaid.
Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the contract.
