# Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

📍 Sitka, Alaska
📋 Contract Length: 13 Weeks
⏰ Schedule: Variable Shifts (Days/Nights)
💼 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

## Requirements

* Active Alaska RN License required at the time of submission
* BLS Certification Required
* PALS Certification Required
* 3 years Emergency Department experience
* Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

## Job Responsibilities

* Provide emergency nursing care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
* Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
* Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
* Respond rapidly to emergency situations and changes in patient condition.
* Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
* Educate patients and families regarding treatment and discharge instructions.
* Accurately document patient care using Meditech EMR.
* Support quality patient care and maintain patient safety standards.

* Meditech Experience Preferred
* Work with patients across all age groups

## Preferred Qualifications

* Emergency Department nursing experience
* ACLS Certification
* TNCC and/or ATCN Certification
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to thrive in a rural healthcare environment
