📢 Travel Infusion RN Opportunity – Sitka, Alaska

We are seeking an experienced Infusion Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract assignment in Sitka, Alaska.

Position Details:
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with no lunch break, or 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch break
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• No holiday coverage required
• EMR: Meditech

Requirements:
• Active Alaska RN license required at submission
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
• Infusion or specialty nursing experience preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Flu vaccination required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Fingerprint cards must be completed and mailed within 2–3 days of offer acceptance; start date will be at least 6 weeks after SEARHC receives the fingerprint cards

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide safe, comprehensive infusion therapy and patient-centered nursing care.
• Administer specialty IV fluids and medications through peripheral IVs, PICCs, central venous catheters, and other vascular access devices.
• Maintain CVCs, PICCs, and IV access devices according to INS/ONS and facility guidelines.
• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments; recognize and respond promptly to adverse reactions or emergency conditions.
• Review infusion orders and coordinate care with referring providers, specialists, oncology teams, and pharmacy.
• Coordinate patient referrals, appointments, prior authorizations, test results, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, post-infusion care, and discharge instructions.
• Document assessments, treatments, patient responses, and care plans accurately in the medical record.
• Support daily clinic flow and collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team.
