**Travel RN – Emergency Department (ED) | Alaska**
**13-Week Contract | Variable Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours**

Seeking an experienced **Emergency Department Registered Nurse** for a travel assignment providing emergency care to patients of all ages. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while working independently in a fast-paced emergency setting. Candidates **must hold an active Alaska RN License at the time of submission**.

**Requirements:**
* Active Alaska RN License (required at submission)
* Minimum 3 year of Emergency Department RN experience
* Current BLS certification
* Current PALS certification
* Flu vaccination required
* Meditech EMR experience preferred
* Traveler must reside at least 50 miles from the assignment location

**Assignment Details:**
* 13-week contract
* Variable day/night shifts
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Holiday coverage required
* No on-call
* W-2 employment only (1099 not accepted)

**Responsibilities:**
* Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups
* Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement evidence-based interventions
* Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders
* Monitor patient conditions and respond rapidly to emergent situations
* Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
* Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
* Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
* Delegate and supervise support staff while maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
