**Travel RN – Obstetrics / Med-Surg | Iowa**
**13-Week Contract | Night Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours**

Seeking a dedicated **Obstetrics Registered Nurse** for a travel assignment at a community hospital. This position provides care across **Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery**, with the expectation to **float to the Med-Surg unit** when there are no obstetric patients. This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible RN who enjoys caring for patients across multiple specialties.

**Requirements:**
* Active RN License
* 3 years experience in Obstetrics (Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery)
* Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
* EPIC EMR experience preferred
* Ability to float to the Med-Surg unit as needed

**Assignment Details:**
* 13-week contract
* Night shifts
* Every third weekend rotation
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No holiday coverage required
* No on-call
* W-2 employment only (1099 not accepted)

**Responsibilities:**
* Provide comprehensive nursing care for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Recovery patients
* Monitor maternal and newborn conditions throughout the continuum of care
* Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and obstetric procedures
* Float to the Med-Surg unit when obstetric census is low
* Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
* Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
* Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
* Educate patients and families on maternal, newborn, and post-discharge care
