**Travel Med-Surg RN | Illinois**
**13-Week Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | No On-Call**

Seeking an experienced **Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)** for a travel assignment at a Pathway to Excellence designated hospital. This blended unit provides care for **Medical-Surgical, Swing Bed, and occasional PCU-level patients**, with assignments based on patient acuity and nursing experience. Experienced Med-Surg nurses are welcome, with supportive leadership ensuring safe patient assignments.

**Requirements:**
* Active Illinois RN License
* Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg RN experience
* Experience caring for adult Medical-Surgical patients
* Ability to care for or float within a blended Med-Surg/Swing Bed/PCU environment
* Previous travel experience preferred

**Assignment Details:**
* 13-week contract
* 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation
* Every other holiday rotation
* No on-call
* No guaranteed hours
* W-2 employment only (1099 not accepted)

**Responsibilities:**
* Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult Medical-Surgical patients
* Care for Swing Bed patients and assist with PCU-level patients as assigned
* Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status
* Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies per physician orders
* Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
* Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
* Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality patient-centered care
