Travel PCU RN | Night Shift | Montana | 13 Weeks
π Location: Montana
π Start Date: ASAP
π Shift: Night Shift
π Contract: 13 Weeks
Join a dynamic Progressive Care Unit caring for hemodynamically stable and predictably unstable patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU-level care. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced PCU/Stepdown RNs comfortable managing a wide variety of medical and post-operative patients.
Requirements:
Active Montana RN License and Minimum 3yr of PCU experience required
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
PALS
ENPC and TNCC preferred
PCU/Stepdown experience
Patient Population
CHF, COPD, DKA, Sepsis
Renal Failure
DVT / Pulmonary Embolism
Post-PCI and Pacemaker Patients
Post-Heart Catheterization
Thoracotomy
Carotid Endarterectomy
Post-Op Vascular & General Surgery Patients
Skills Required
Cardiac telemetry and basic EKG interpretation
Care of central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, NG tubes, and multiple IV infusions
Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and stable ventilator patients
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Medication Experience
Experience managing common IV medications including:
Heparin
Diltiazem
Amiodarone
Lasix/Bumex
Dobutamine (non-titratable)
Dopamine (non-titratable)
