Requirements

✔ Active Wisconsin RN License
✔ Current AHA BLS Certification
✔ Current ACLS Certification
✔ Current NRP Certification
✔ PALS Certification
✔ Required 3+ Experience in Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery
✔ Strong fetal monitoring and maternal/newborn assessment skills

Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns.
* Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and accurately administer medications.
* Monitor labor progression and manage labor inductions and cervical ripening.
* Perform and interpret fetal heart monitoring.
* Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies, including postpartum hemorrhage, prolapsed cord, breech delivery, uterine rupture, placenta previa, and abruptio placenta.
* Assess and monitor newborns for conditions such as hypoglycemia, hypothermia, jaundice, sepsis, and other complications.
* Perform neonatal resuscitation within certification guidelines.
* Educate patients and families on newborn care and postpartum recovery.
* Communicate effectively with providers and the multidisciplinary care team.
* Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR.
