**Travel RN – Flex Pool (Med-Surg / Step Down) | Hawaii**
**13-Week Contract | Day Shifts | Flex Pool**

Seeking an experienced **Registered Nurse** for a **Flex Pool** travel assignment at **Hilo Medical Center** in Hawaii. This position floats between **Medical, Surgical, Step Down, and Cardiovascular units**, providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative acute care environment.

**Requirements:**
* Active Hawaii RN License (or must obtain prior to assignment start)
* Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg/Step Down nursing experience
* Current BLS and ACLS certifications
* PALS, TNCC, ENPC, and Procedural Sedation certifications preferred
* Experience with EPIC or Meditech EMR preferred
* Ability to float between multiple inpatient units

**Assignment Details:**
* 13-week contract
* 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
* Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation (hours not guaranteed)
* Holiday coverage required
* No 1099 – W-2 employment only
* Traveler must arrive the Thursday before the start date for employee health appointment on Friday

**Responsibilities:**
* Provide comprehensive nursing care across Medical, Surgical, Step Down, and Cardiovascular units
* Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and monitor patient progress
* Operate equipment including EPIC/Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vacs, and chest tubes
* Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
* Float to assigned units based on staffing and patient care needs
* Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high standards of patient safety and quality care
* Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
