We’re hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med Surg / PCU travel assignment in Ohio!

🔹 Requirements:
• Minimum 3 year of RN Med surg experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Ohio RN License
• Current BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
• Strong Med Surg / PCU nursing skills
• Excellent assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable caring for acutely ill and surgical patients
• Ability to safely handle and transfer patients
• Strong patient education and documentation skills

🔹 Assignment Details:
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours/week
• 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Night shift
• 3 × 12-hour shifts/week
• Holiday coverage required
• Cerner EMR
• 2 positions available
• No on-call requirement
• W-2 employment only

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Provide care to Med Surg and PCU-level patients
• Administer medications and IV therapies safely
• Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes in clinical status
• Implement physician orders and prescribed treatments
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care process
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation
• Communicate significant patient changes to physicians and healthcare team members
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing assistants and support staff
• Supervise and evaluate delegated patient-care activities
• Prioritize care effectively in a high-acuity environment
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality-care standards
• Maintain accurate use and availability of equipment and supplies
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and independent decision-making
