**Travel RN – Alaska | Day Shift**

**13-Week Contract | Days | 32 Guaranteed Hours/Week**

We’re hiring a versatile **Registered Nurse** for a travel assignment in Alaska. This opportunity is ideal for an RN comfortable caring for patients across a broad range of ages and clinical needs.

🔹 **Requirements:**
• **Minimum 3 years of RN experience required**
• Graduate of an **NLN-approved nursing program**
• Active, unrestricted **Alaska RN License**
• Current **BLS certification**
• Must successfully complete and maintain required competencies
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Basic **EKG** skills
• Strong medication administration and patient-care skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing clinical needs
• Must be comfortable caring for patients from **birth through elderly populations**
• Cultural awareness and ability to provide age-appropriate care
• **COVID vaccination documentation required**

🔹 **Assignment Details:**
• **13-week contract**
• **Day shifts**
• **32 guaranteed hours/week**
• No holiday coverage required
• **No call**
• **1 position available**
• W-2 employment only
• Housing provided
• Private bedroom with shared common areas
• Travel to/from the assignment is initially arranged by the traveler/agency and reimbursed at base airfare

🔹 **Clinical Responsibilities:**
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop nursing diagnoses and individualized care plans
• Implement and evaluate nursing interventions
• Provide care across the continuum from pediatric to geriatric patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Interpret diagnostic tests and monitor patient conditions
• Perform basic EKG procedures
• Provide patient and family education
• Document all patient-care activities accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Coordinate and direct nursing care
• Apply appropriate age-specific and culturally sensitive care
• Maintain patient safety and infection-control standards
• Serve as a clinical resource when needed
• Supervise unit secretaries and Patient Care Technicians in collaboration with the Charge Nurse
