Travel RN – ED / Med-Surg | Colorado

13-Week Contract | Day & Night Shifts | 36 Hours/Week

We’re hiring an experienced Registered Nurse for a versatile ED/Med-Surg travel assignment in Colorado!

🔹 Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Experience in Emergency Department and/or Med-Surg
• Graduate of an approved nursing program
• Active Colorado RN License
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• TNCC certification required
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work effectively in a rural/critical-access hospital
• Bilingual/Spanish skills preferred

🔹 Assignment Details:
• 13-week contract
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• 3 positions available
• Holiday coverage required
• Athena EMR
• No on-call
• W-2 employment only

🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care based on comprehensive patient assessments
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Care for patients in Emergency Department and Med-Surg settings
• Administer medications and treatments safely
• Monitor patient conditions and recognize changes requiring intervention
• Accurately document nursing care and patient responses
• Provide patient and family education
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Respond effectively to emergencies and rapidly changing patient conditions
• Maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance
• Follow safe patient-handling and body-mechanics practices
• Demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced rural healthcare environment
• Deliver compassionate, respectful, and high-quality patient care
