Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment. The OR RN will provide perioperative nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of the surgical process.

Responsibilities
Perform preoperative patient assessments and develop nursing care plans
Implement operative care plans and evaluate patient outcomes
Prepare patients for surgery, including positioning and operative-site preparation
Verify the procedure and surgical site with the surgical team
Assist with OR setup and surgical cases
Assemble equipment and supplies using sterile technique
Open sterile packs, instruments, and supplies
Perform and document surgical counts for sponges, sharps, and instruments
Assist with patient transfers to and from the operating table
Document nursing care accurately in the patient's legal record
Assist with OR cleanup and proper disposal of used supplies and sharps
Requirements
Active RN License
Minimum 3 years of experience as a OR RN
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
BLS/BCLS certification
Must have an active state license at the time of assignment
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative nursing practices
