🏥 **Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)**
📍 **Location:** Juneau, Alaska
💼 **Job Type:** Permanent Full-Time
🏥 **Setting:** Inpatient & Outpatient Rehabilitation
🕐 **Shift:** Days, Full-Time
### **Job Requirements**
* Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from a CAPTE-accredited program
* Active Alaska Physical Therapist Assistant License & 3 years experience as PTA.
* Current AHA BLS/CPR certification
* Valid driver’s license
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Clinical Competency and High-Risk Competency completion within 3 months of hire
* Acute care hospital and outpatient clinical experience preferred
### **Key Responsibilities**
* Provide PTA treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
* Implement treatment plans for inpatient and outpatient patients of all ages
* Assist with mobility, therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and functional activities
* Document patient progress, treatments, and recommendations
* Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and self-care
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams and support discharge planning
* Participate in community health programs, home assessments, and patient education
* Occasional travel to remote locations by boat or small plane may be required
### **Additional Details**
* Work across hospital, outpatient, community, and home-based settings
* Potential for physically demanding work, including lifting over 50 lbs
* Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement, PTO, and parental leave
* W-2 employment | No 1099
* No mileage reimbursement
