🗣️ Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
📍 Location: Juneau, Alaska
💼 Position: Permanent | Full-Time
☀️ Schedule: Days | Full-Time
👥 Positions Available: 1
We're seeking an experienced Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment services for pediatric patients. This role involves developing individualized plans of care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patients and families across inpatient, outpatient, home, community, and remote settings.
✅ Requirements
Active Alaska Speech-Language Pathology License
Minimum 3 years of Speech-Language Pathology experience
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
CCC-SLP certification required within the first year of employment and maintained thereafter
Current BLS Certification (AHA) or obtain within 3 months of hire
Valid Alaska Driver’s License
Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred
Acute-care hospital experience preferred
Experience with dysphagia and neurology preferred
MBSS/video fluoroscopic swallowing studies, FEES, and bedside clinical swallowing examination experience preferred
🗣️ Clinical Experience
Perform comprehensive speech, language, swallowing, and communication assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
Provide pediatric speech-language therapy services and monitor patient progress
Evaluate and treat communication, swallowing, and related functional disorders
Provide patient and family education, including home exercise and therapy programs
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, educators, and other healthcare professionals
Participate in care conferences, rounds, and interdisciplinary treatment planning
Recommend appropriate rehabilitation services, equipment, and discharge needs
Document evaluations, treatments, recommendations, and patient progress accurately
Provide therapy services in inpatient, outpatient, home, community, and remote settings
Educate clinical and non-clinical staff regarding Speech-Language Pathology services
