🩺 Travel Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights

📍 Location: St. Johnsbury, Vermont
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
🌙 Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM | 3 × 12-Hour Shifts
⏱️ Hours: 36 Hours/Week

We're seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in a general medical-surgical unit. This role primarily cares for adult patients, with occasional pediatric patients, across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing-bed, and pediatric services.

✅ Requirements
Active Vermont RN License or valid Compact RN License
Minimum 3 years of Acute Care RN experience
Strong Med-Surg nursing experience
Current BLS Certification (AHA)
Current ACLS Certification
Meditech experience preferred
Experience caring for adult patients required
Ability to occasionally care for pediatric patients
Pediatric-only RNs will not be considered
Current flu vaccination required — no exceptions
Reliable personal transportation required

🩺 Clinical Experience
Provide comprehensive nursing care to primarily adult medical-surgical patients
Occasionally care for pediatric patients based on unit needs
Provide care across medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing-bed, and pediatric services
Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals
Address patients' physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and age-specific needs
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established nursing standards

📌 Assignment Highlights
36 hours per week
Three 12-hour night shifts
Every other weekend
Holiday coverage required
No on-call requirement
Primarily adult patient population with occasional pediatric assignments
Rural Critical Access Hospital setting
Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing
