🏃 Travel Physical Therapist (PT) – Rehabilitation

📍 Location: Hot Springs, South Dakota
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks
⏰ Shift: 8-Hour Shifts | Tuesday–Saturday
⏱️ Hours: 40 Hours/Week
💻 EMR: EPIC

We're seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) for a 13-week travel assignment providing rehabilitative care to patients across a variety of age groups and clinical needs. The PT will develop individualized treatment plans focused on restoring function, promoting independence, and improving patient wellness and safety.

✅ Requirements
Active South Dakota Physical Therapist License
Minimum 3 years of Physical Therapy experience
Physical Therapy experience in rehabilitation settings
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
Current BLS/BCLS Certification
ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications listed among job requirements
Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with patients, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams

🩺 Clinical Experience
Evaluate patients and develop individualized physical therapy plans of care
Provide direct therapeutic care based on patient diagnosis, functional needs, and goals
Deliver preventive and rehabilitative therapy interventions
Provide patient and caregiver education to promote independence, safety, and functional mobility
Perform and monitor treatments involving physical agents such as heat, water, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound
Continuously reassess patient progress and revise plans of care as needed
Communicate significant clinical findings and changes in patient condition to physicians and other healthcare professionals
Document skilled and medically necessary care accurately and timely
Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of care
Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants and Home Health Aides when applicable
Participate in staff meetings, case conferences, quality improvement activities, and required in-service education
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable Medicare, state, federal, and payer requirements
