### 🩺 **Position Overview**
Seeking an experienced **Progressive Care RN** to provide nursing care in a 15-bed Progressive Care Unit consisting of step-down ICU and telemetry beds. The RN will provide primary nursing care, monitor cardiac patients, interpret telemetry strips, and manage patients requiring progressive-level care.

### ✅ **Requirements**
- **3 years of recent RN experience**
- At least **1 year of hospital acute-care experience within the last year**
- Progressive Care/PCU and telemetry experience preferred
- Active **Hawaii RN license required by the start date**
- **BLS/BCLS required**
- **ACLS required**
- PALS preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Strong telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation skills
- Experience with fingerstick blood glucose monitoring

### 📋 **Key Responsibilities**
- Provide primary nursing care to Progressive Care and step-down patients
- Perform continuous cardiac and telemetry monitoring
- Read and interpret telemetry strips
- Monitor patient condition and recognize changes requiring intervention
- Perform fingerstick blood glucose testing
- Administer medications and provide comprehensive bedside care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation
- Float to other acute-care departments as needed, including Medical, Surgical/Pediatric, ICU, and ER

### 🏥 **Unit Details**
- 15-bed unit
- 3 step-down ICU beds
- 12 telemetry beds
- Progressive Care ratio: approximately 1:4
- Step-down ICU ratio: approximately 1:3
- Equipment includes **Meditech/Pyxis, BIPAP, and continuous cardiac monitoring**
- Scrubs required

### ⭐ **Important Assignment Details**
- Must arrive **Thursday before the Monday start date** for a Friday Employee Health appointment
- Holiday coverage required
- No call
- No guaranteed hours
- 36 hours/week following the first week of orientation
- W-2 position
- Must be available to float to other acute units as needed
