Helena, MT

About

Founded as a gold camp during the Montana gold rush, Helena is now a thriving western city with a vibrant arts and culture scene. The city boasts wildlife and scenery not found in most state capitals, making it easy to want to spend time outdoors. Perhaps that’s why fishing, boating and hiking are such popular things to do in Helena during the summer and why people come from all around to ski and snowboard. Nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the Great Plains, Helena makes the beauty of the mountains and the peacefulness of the plains accessible within a short drive.
