Core Responsibilities (Both LPN & RN)
Medication Administration: Preparing and administering oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications.

Patient Monitoring: Taking vital signs (BP, heart rate, temp) and performing focused physical assessments.

Treatments: Performing wound care (dressing changes), catheterizations, and oxygen therapy.

Documentation: Maintaining accurate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and charting patient progress.

Communication: Reporting changes in patient status to physicians and family members.

RN-Specific Duties (Scope of Practice)
Systematic Assessment: Performing the initial comprehensive assessment for new admissions.

Care Planning: Developing and modifying the master nursing care plan.

Complex Care: Managing high-acuity tasks such as initiating blood products or complex IV therapies.

Leadership: Supervising LPNs and CNAs on the floor and serving as the primary decision-maker for the unit.

LPN-Specific Duties
