Job Summary (List Format):

- Position: Part-time, school-based Physical Therapist (Hybrid role)
- Location: Austin, TX
- Schedule: Three days per week, 22.5 hours/week, from now through May 2027
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement therapy goals aligned with IEPs
- Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to goal development/progress reporting
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families
- Recommend and train on adaptive equipment and mobility supports
- Ensure compliance with special education requirements
- Support student participation in school activities
- Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (accredited program)
- Current Texas Physical Therapy License
- Preferred: Experience with children with disabilities in educational/pediatric settings
- Knowledge of IDEA, special education, and IEP processes
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Preferred Skills:
- Pediatric physical therapy experience
- Knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology
- Multidisciplinary team collaboration experience
- Strong assessment and progress-monitoring abilities
- Family engagement and coaching skills
- Ability to support inclusive educational environments
- Typical Duties:
- Evaluate student motor development and functional skills
- Develop therapy plans to improve mobility and independence
- Consult on classroom accommodations and accessibility
- Document services and maintain compliance records
- Recommend equipment for transportation, playground, seating, and mobility
